A historic summit was held yesterday, in Moscow,
between King Salman Bin Abdul-Aziz and Russian President Vladimir Putin in a
visit which is the first of its kind for a Saudi king to visit Russia for the
sake of enhancing the relations between the two nations and to show the old
strong and ties between them. The summit began by a meeting between King Salman
Bin Abdul-Aziz and Russian President Vladimir Putin where king Salman pointed
out that he is welling to enhance the bilateral relations between their
countries in order to serve the world stability, he added also that Riyadh will
keep working with Moscow to stabilize world oil prices.
President Putin ,also,
described king's Salman visit as an important and eminent event for his
country, and that he is sure that this visit is going to be a great step to
strengthen the relations between both of countries.
For his part, king salamn pointed out, in a press
conference which was held in the Kremlin after the meeting, that the kingdom
called to establish an international center at the united nations to fight
world terrorism as it also sought to establish a military alliance which
includes 41 Islamic nation to fight terrorism in addition to establishing
anti-extremist center in Riyadh. He also stressed on the need to work to stop
the suffering of the Palestinian people and establish a Palestinian state. He
also stressed the need to stop Iran’s interference in the internal affairs of
countries in the region.
In his statement the king emphasized the importance of
a political solution to the Yemeni crisis and Syria as well as the importance
of the unity of Iraq.
At the end of his visit, king Salman invited president
Putin to visit the kingdom to conclude their talks concerning to crucial cases
in the territory and to cement relations between both of countries. However,
President Putin responded by accepting the king's invitation.
